Project Principles and Objectives
The objective of the works was to resurface the access road from the car park at Start Point to the pump house, restoring it to a safe and serviceable condition. The existing surface had deteriorated significantly, with numerous potholes and defects that compromised vehicle access, posed safety risks, and hindered routine operational use. The resurfacing works aimed to provide a durable, smooth, and reliable roadway suitable for ongoing maintenance and site access requirements.
Project quantities:
80 tonnes of SMA 57 PSV asphalt.
Innovation and best practice:
Zero waste created from the works, all material planed from the surface was reused in the Start Point car park to improve the surface for the landowner.
Moving forward:
This project fitted well with Ryebridge’s proven ability to carry out jobs in difficult to reach places and under challenging conditions, and we look forward to being able to provide this service to other clients in the future.
